It’s not hard to find animations base on a game, but this particular anime it’s almost a parody to the existence of Capcom’s game in which is based on, we’re talking about Ixion Saga DT.
The Ixion Saga Dimensional Transfer series begins its emission in October of 2012, with 25 hilarious episodes. It has been adapted to 2 mangas and a series of light novels. Sadly, no Fansub has translated them to our language, so the only thing we have at our disposal is the animation series.
On July 20th i got the visit of a friend (Joe) who had many series to watch, and last week I dedicated myself to watch three of them. One of them was Ixion Saga DT. With just checking the first episode we realize of how absurd, ridiculous and hilarious is the story that the series is telling us, getting the point when we just can’t stop laughing.
Kon Hokaze is a MMORPG player created by Capcom, Ixion Saga. Inside the game he meets this blond woman who has a petition. Believing he’s a lucky bastard, the degenerated of our leading character accepts and is taken to another world, with the chair and the headphones included. In his fall, he accidently saves Ecarlate Juptris Saint Piria, St. Piria Empire’s princess. He joins her and her bodyguards in an adventure he never imagined.
The series shows Mira, a world of Fantasy where magical creatures and great warriors live. The real plot starts in episode #15, where we start figuring out the existing conspiracy of a war between the Empire and the Jugglaburk Clan, all of the a earlier episodes are just to show the leading character’s abilities to act ridiculous.
I really enjoyed the series. It has very fun situations, getting to the point of scratching the absurd, there’s an interesting plot, and the best of all, a Power Metal Soundtrack, something very unusual in actual series.
Don’t expect big battles, or loving triangles, or melodramatic situations, the series is a hilarious comedy, which scenes will make laugh out loud.
